The International Conference on Hydrogen Horizons (ICH2) is an international forum dedicated to hydrogen technologies, innovation, and collaboration across the full value chain. Organized within the framework of the H2 Green Valley Agenda, the conference aims to present the main results of the Agenda while also creating a meeting point for researchers, innovators, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss the role of hydrogen in shaping a resilient and sustainable world.

ICH2 is part of the dissemination and outreach efforts of the H2 Green Valley Agenda, a strategic initiative focused on advancing the hydrogen value chain in Portugal. Through this framework, the conference will highlight key achievements and ongoing developments of the Agenda, while placing them in dialogue with broader scientific, technological, regulatory, and industrial perspectives.

The conference is designed to combine two complementary dimensions: the presentation of outcomes generated within the H2 Green Valley Agenda and the promotion of international discussion on hydrogen production, transport, storage, end uses, safety, and research and innovation. In doing so, ICH2 aims to strengthen knowledge-sharing, encourage cross-sector collaboration, and support the development of new partnerships and initiatives.

The programme will bring together keynote lectures, technical sessions, poster presentations, and thematic discussions covering major challenges and opportunities across the hydrogen sector. The H2 Green Valley Agenda will be featured throughout the conference, with dedicated moments on each day and thematic links between Agenda-related sessions and the broader scientific programme.

The first edition of ICH2 will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, from 21 to 24 September 2026, at the Museu do Oriente. Bringing together national and international participants in a setting that connects heritage, innovation, and global dialogue, the conference aims to establish itself as a reference platform for the hydrogen community.

By combining scientific exchange, industrial engagement, and institutional dialogue, ICH2 will provide a space to reflect on current achievements and future opportunities in the hydrogen sector, while reinforcing the visibility and impact of the H2 Green Valley Agenda.

Join us in shaping the horizons of hydrogen innovation.

Save the date and be part of the first edition of ICH2 — we look forward to welcoming you to Lisbon for four inspiring days of ideas, collaboration, and discovery.
